Bromley 2009

Well today I was the only 1300FWD at Britains biggest Classic Car Show in Bromley. Great fun and blistering weather. I had a really nice time wandering around and looking at the cars. I also met Rooboy (Richard) at last with his lovely ultra rare 1500 square headlight flat dash auto. A really nice car.
As usual at Bromley all sorts of cars on show - the good, the bad, and the ugly indeed. Some pics of the day....

Richard's car is the red Dolly. The green Sprint was utterly immacualte and the owner had spent £12,000 restoring it. He said he was not a TDC member and had no plans to be because (as he put it) "they never actually do anything". I will revert to this later.
I took some close up pictures of the Sprint including its particularly neat oil cooler install......

Some other stuff around the show.......
Lovely Alfa Montreal

Equally lovely splitty VeeDub camper

Nicely done Porker Replica

Probably the less said the better......

And my favourite of the day, a simply sublime (and 1 of 4 RHD ever made) Maserati Mexico

After I took the photos, a vermillion Sprint that was also very clean indeed plotted up between Richard and I. I spoke to the owner (a lovely chap) at length. He apparently used to be a member of the TDC, but jacked it in because "they never do anything" (and he had not spoken to Mr Green Sprint).
This was the only depressing bit of an otherwise wonderful day.
