Hello all.

Got the sprint going back together tomorrow. Whats the best plugs for a mildy tuned dolomite sprint thats got weber carbs on it

NGK? If so what type ?

I've also used some of the slightly "cooler" plugs in my Sprint in the past which I think are a BP7EFS. This have helped to keep temperature down and seem to behave more like the original type plugs when the cars were new. Unleaded fuel tends to burn hotter and the cooler plugs help to withdraw more heat from the engine as they have a slightly longer nose. Spark plugs do not create heat but can remove heat from the engine.

I would go along with the advice given.
I would give Champions a miss as in the past I have seen 3 sprints with centres that had fallen out causing
untold damage to the head and piston.
Not certain but this maybe due to oil comtamination, so I would fit the clubs spark plug tubes and o'rings kit.
Also I think the old Unipart plugs were Champion anyway.
So I always fit NGK to mine. All the best GW.

I've just put a set of golden Lodge in mine, quad electrode thingys, bought off of e-bay for about a fiver. Runs beautifully on em so far !

Hello, you also can use the ngk bp6efvx or the bp6efix. Also can use the "7" instead of "6".
The vx is the platinum and the ix the irridium. These last very long and do not get wet fouling. These vx and the newer ix are used on porsche and ferrari. At my work there's a lot of starting, drive 50 meters and stop with lots of classic cars and the multiple weber exotics will start always with these plugs. No wet fouling.

In the 1300/1500/1850 you can use the bp6evx or the bp6eix.

Hello all, I am desperately trying to find a resistive plug for the Sprint head. All the ones at the usual stockist appear to be vanilla. I need a resistive plug as I am running a EFI system (Speeduino) which needs a resistive plug.

(Sorry for bringing up an old thread I have been trying to google an answer)

Add an R. BPR6EFS for example. Around 5 Kohm is needed in an HT System. Some resistor sparkplugs are 1 Kohm. When you have carbon type plugleads then you are probably already over 5 Kohm and resistor type plugs are not recommended then. Measure your leads first and then decide what plug is needed.
