OK, so how we going to win the prize money this year?
Nothing has been done to last year's project since...

Why not make my 1850 not rubbish? Lots of stuff to do for that...
Seriously though, it could do with a lot of non-mechanical things doing to it which won't take long (cutting back the paint, refitting bits of trim etc) but would make it look a lot better than when it came in.

Dave the show only lasts a day!
I'm sure there are plenty of projects, are sparks, welding and general noise still frowned upon?

Cutting out a roof with a speedsaw gets a few comments from nearby stall holders

Bump
Volunteers?
Volunteer to Organize?
Project? Tony McK has suggested carrying on with last year's project. Needs clutch hydraulics sorting, new brake lines throughout, balance valve fitting, bodywork to cills, front panel/valance, boot floor, chassis mount NSF, transmission tunnel fitting, gearbox o/d wiring, surface rust and paintwork to lower driver's door, fuel tank fitting, vinyl roof fitting...

Sounds like a good one Alun, I guess it would be either the welding or all of the other stuff though?

Right, have we decided what's happening yet? It's getting closer by the day.

-cough- my car -cough-
I guess we need to do something more dramatic than putting filler into all of the holes on my 1850. Plenty to get on with on the one Alun suggested, I assume it'll need trailering there?
I guess an idea of numbers would be handy, it gets a bit silly if we've got 10 people on one car...

confirmed in this thread so far, anyone else definitely able to be there? I'll stick a thread over in the main forum...

Aye, I can get there. Maybe someone can teach me how to weld!
Are we doing cars on a club stand?
Incidentally, I do have a project car which I will happily volunteer to be "improved"!

We have applied for a club stand, we are waiting to hear how much space we'll be allocated. A couple of potential project cars have been identified but we need to check on the feasibility of them before we make a final decision on which cars to work on. Volunteers are sought and exhibitor's passes will be made available to Club members who help out.

Let me know what I can help with. Not welding, obviously
But happy to man a stand or whatever.
