Low geared old rwd car, cheap tyres and oh look,a nice quiet roundabout, soaking wet and sideways at 20mph.Thinking about taking off my rear wash wipe and putting it on my passenger side window for the rest of the 'SUMMER'.She is so much fun,my Octavia vrs is now redundant.More power and a lsd and she will be top banana.
Anybody know why my steering is notchy and does not centre well.

Even with the 1500 i cant resist the roundabouts, there are a lot of them between my house and yard.
If you fit a LSD then sideways action will be more difficult to achieve.

notchy steering can be due to rusty u/j in the steering.

I hate this rain; my car is off the road, my van is off for a respray, so I have to ride my Yamaha Fazer to work - got bl00dy soaked this morning!

Could be UJ on the column trouble or equally could be play at the inner ends of track rods, or could be flat tyre(s)...

Racks fully reconned available here if needed £35 (exchange if possible...)

I fitted a Rimmer's quick rack to my Sprint, and have to say that I haven't noticed the slightest difference...

Just been looking through old threads, seems quickracks are a bit of an issue.
