Out of Hibernation

As the Magenta Sprint is at the spray shop, I took the opportunity to give my track Sprint a shake-down. After charging the battery it started first time. Not bad seeing as it hasn't been touched since October and has remained outside on the drive. :D

I jacked up the rear & checked the rear brakes and also topped up the back axle. Then I checked the front brakes & cleaned the discs up as they were a bit rusty.

First thing this morning I whipped the rocker cover off & re-torqued the head. Then give it some fresh oil & filter. I checked the other fluids as well.

Finally I checked all the lights & gave the wheels & engine bay a bit of a clean (and the exhaust tail pipe).

Hoping to get it MoTed next week some time.

Been doing similar to mine, but have made a fibreglass undertray to cover the front subframe to do two jobs hopefully.
First job is to channel all air from front through the rad and the second is to smooth the airflow beneath the car, it remains to be seen if its worth the effort, however all modern cars have them and they dont make stuff for nothing.
I did not torque the head down but will do so as its so important.

it's pretty easy to tell whether an undertray does what you want it to, at least as far as airflow through the radiator is concerned. Just stick a differential pressure gauge across the radiator and drive the car with and without the undertray. If it's helping you'll see a bigger pressure drop across the rad.

Sounds like fun, do you have any pictures?
