Hi Folks Project Sprint GWO is hopefully underway proper in the next week or so but first a little history of how it came to be in my clutches. I bought this approx 6 weeks ago on a bit of an impulse buy. I usually mess with old Fords (please dont go to next thread as i am in the Dolly conversion epithony stage of life) but fancied a new challenge. So on one SUNNY day on a day trip to North wales with the kids i spotted this on a car sales rear storeage area and as you do, i made enquiries as to if they would sell it, which they agreed to let me inspect a bit further but the car had 4 flat tyres and was parked in an oilly muddy area of storage. At this point i must stress if on a day trip and in your good clothes DO NOT,I REPEAT, DO NOT GO AND LOOK at Classic Cars for sale as complacency(lazyness really) and the need to stay clean could come back to haunt you at a later date. The car was an already an abandoned project and completely stripped out inside, recently painted top and underside but not the roof(painted and then decided to remove the vinyl roof, doh) welds needed to front and rear screen lip edges before glass can be replaced, The engine is seized, there is no exhaust at all, could see some welding to floor and front o/s chassis leg required, front and rear screens broken and the interior and some components in boxes inside not in any sort of order with probaly 5% parts missing Mr Car Sales Man said (hmmmm we will see about that later but at least he did mention this) A price was agreed and then the car was delivared to Liverpool 3 weeks later.YIPPPEEEE!!!!
Upon further inspection(wearing proper dirty work overalls) it has become apparent all is not well in Sprint land. The rear of the car does require substantial welding (i will post photos of the horrors that live under the Sprint soon) but it has been cleverly disguised with lots of inca yellow paint that crumbled and left nothing behind (dress properly for buying old cars or re-arrange to go back if not suitablly attirred)
I am in the process of getting hold/fabricating or borrowing a rollover jig and removing the drive train to gain access to the Tin Worm Holiday Camp.
I will update and up-load photos once underway properly.

Thanks for the welcome Guys, i have been trawling threw a lot of the retorations and other threads on your forum and it seems a very good font of knowledge and fun place.
As for good luck I think I will need it in abundance but if not, I am sure I will get by with my usual brute force and ignorance.
