In 2010 the 26th year of the Marches Transport Festival took place alongside the Ludlow Spring Festival - which is a mix of delicious local food and a HUGE selection of real ales from across the SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers Association) Wales and West region – this year we are looking at over 160 beers! Running the transport festival alongside this event gives the visitor a huge amount to see and allows the transport festival to continue. The committees for the events have now merged; which has resulted in new ideas coming forward to make the weekend better attended, advertised and hopefully more successful for all concerned.
So, in 2011 we want to make the event EVEN more spectacular giving the whole festival a whole new dimension with an invitation to CLUBS to bring along the their brilliant displays on the SATURDAY to display inside the most magnificent showroom in the UK – Ludlow Castle! On Saturday we shall be allowing the addition of entries of some younger vehicles, restricted to one model/series per year; and, also to encourage the drivers we are offering a 50% reduction on the entry price to the Spring Festival and free entry into the Transport Festival.
