Metal scabs!

I've just come into work this morning where I have sat a TR7, of which I'm hoping to use as this years classic run about, to find that someone has had the cover off!!!!! It has some pretty strong grips holding it on so no way an accident! 
It has been off the road for some 10 years and needs an afternoon spent getting it going then see if/what it requires for MOT. Now I'm worried that the scrap scabs of W-s-M will have it away one night!!
.I feel now that I need to speed up on getting it out of the yard and movable.
If anyone has a bit of spare time to give me a hand to get her going I would be most greatfull!!
