OK then, not long to go to this big event!

The stand is planned, budget in place, and the 5 cars for the display have been selected.

To those of you that offered vehicles, many thanks.

Next part is volunteers to man the stand.

If you can offer time to man the stand, please PM NathanMwk627G AND michaelc, saying if you can do Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, and what times you're available.

PLEASE respond by PM, and not on open forum.

Danny and Jannette will be in attendance on Friday to deliver regalia.

Any questions, ask away!

Here's to a good one!

Will see you there, not in EFR894W unfortunately but in his big sister NMA384L (Triumph Stag)
It isn't Orange!!!!!!
The other one wasn't Purple either!!!
One of the new ones will probably be green, very green.
Another new one is green too but not as green as the previous one. Still pretty green. No, now it's Blue.
The other new one will be white with stripes. Actually it might not. No, it will be.
BUT, that one is definitely Yellow :=}

Ooohh get you!

Todays the stand build day, (Thursday), and I'm not panicking at all, despite posting this at 7:10, and having been working on the PC since 5:30 this morning!!!

More updates to follow this evening, but here's hoping that 5 cars, 20 lights, 150 meters of ally tubing, 3 banners, 27 meters of carpet, 3 tables and 4 chairs all turn up at the right time, along with some other stuff, and go together.

Look forward to seeing you all that are visiting over Friday and the following 2 days..

Now then, where are my painkillers!

I'm at home, shattered, BUT that stand looks AWESOME

27 meters long, 4.2 meters wide, 3 Metres high!

5 spectacular cars

I'm not saying any more, cos you have to see to believe what has been built, courtesy of Mike C's planning skills, and the talents of a crew of professional stage builders!

SEE YOU THERE!

As Bruce said, hope to see lots of people on the stand over the next three days - here's a few pics of what we did today:

Hi, well done to all concerned, I only wish I could be there. Itravelled last year(2010) and will be there again in 2012 PG, we make it a bi-annual event due to the cost of travelling from Ireland and time off(Thursday,Friday,Saturday), I'm self employed, and every day has to pay for itself!.See you all next year, and may be able to give a hand on one of the days. :D PJ Byrne.(2dollys)

I got back from the NEC late last night having stayed till closing time.

All I can say is prepare to be gobsmacked when you see the Club stand, which frankly shames those of much larger (and wealthier) clubs. it is a truly outstanding effort by all those involved, and it was a pleasure to go up and help man the stand yesterday.

The five cars chosen for the stand are all outstanding examples and the lighting shows them off magnificently, especially the race car with it's astonishing attention to detail.

This is a big show (the biggest?), and a suitably big impact has been achieved. The organisers claim to have sold more advance tickets than at any time previously so it will be a busy weekend.

If you are going be sure to call by and see us, and be amazed.

Huge thanks and a massive well done to all involved in this effort on behalf of the Committee and Club members.
Martin.
