Surrey meet... Anyone interested?!

I would like to kick start a meeting in the Surrey area if anybody else out there is interested...?!

I was thinking of the Marquis of Granby in Esher as the meeting place (huge car park, good food & drink etc...) as it is pretty easy to get to and I have seen other meets there so they must be car friendly...!!!

I want to open this up to all 1960's and 1970's Triumphs but predominantly our beloved favourites, the trusty Toledo and the dominating Dolomite...

I was thinking of doing the meet every 3 or 4 months so as to keep it fresh and ensure we don't get bored of each other...

Let me know what you think folks...

If you were to hold the meets on a Sat or Sunday, then I could make it along then. As much as I would love to, sadly I can never get over to Carl's meet during the week at Hook because of work.

As for the location, sounds good though I hear that the Fairmile on the Chobham road the other side of Esher is also a very nice place for car meets, and would be a good option :) Quarterly sounds good too.

Great ideas Grifterkid.. 8)

I could be up for that if nothing going in the Middlesex area. Esher's not too far for me though.

Good for you for setting something up and good luck with it.

This is a great idea and thanks for stepping up to the plate. There are no regional meets at all in the south east at the moment (I deem Carl's Hampshire group "south central") so I am sure that, on a quarterly basis, some of us would even travel from further afield if we could.

If you want some help with this give me a call. My numbers are in the mag.

I think a quarterly Saturday morning meet would be best as driving past on a Sunday the car park is full of people going for their well cook roasts...!!!

If we say 10:30am on Saturday morning then we may well have all gathered and chin-wagged in time for the pub doors to open for refreshments and a warm place to sit and natter some more...

I will be in touch with the pub management soon to see what they think...

Please keep me posted if you're still interested and do spread the word to all the Triumph fraternity...
