Hi,
I aiming to compete in the Tour of Cheshire in March next year. I've been trying to decipher the regulations in the Blue Book for historic road rallying. Could anyone provide me with a comprehensive list of any modifications to the car required to compete in historic road rallies, including stickers etc. Also, a Dolly Sprint was rallied in the ToC this year. Anyone know if he's on here? I would be very grateful if contact details could be provided if he is.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Adam

I have attended the TOC for the last few years and really enjoy the day, took my Dolly two years ago and hopefully will be there again this year. I run my dolly (1850) as standard with added safety of fire extinguisher and 4point harness seat belts. Not sure on the rules about stickers though, best ask the TOC team.
with regards to trip meters, i'm pretty sure ones that read your current average speed are prohibited (Brantz 2S Pro), only accurate distance measuring ones are allowed (eg Brantz 2 Pro or the retro one), but i see both types on the rallies, depends whether you consider yourself as needing extra help or you want to try do it "old school" style.
Warning triangle and no petrol cans in the boot.
Hope that helps,
James

Further thought on stickers, car "race" numbers other than those for the purposes of the rally itself are prohibited I think as well. But again, check with the TOC team.

How did you find it?
I was hoping to try and catch you at the end and get the three dolly's parked next to eachother for a red white and blue photo but missed the chance.

It was great fun, we thoroughly enjoyed the day!! We also finished, which was a surprise, although even more surprisingly we gained ten places! Loved the whole event, and we're now looking to try some smaller 12 car rallies with KDMC, before attempting the Vale of Clwyd Rally in September. We did quite well in the regularities, coming 43rd in one, but we went the wrong way on few of the tests and ended up with maximum points. Some practice at what looping and circling is obviously needed!!
How did you get on?
