here it is has i got her, named triangle by my 5yr old.

aready got 12mths mot on her, and now started to deal with the o/s/wing, mot, needed new chassis cap ends that was it no other welding ever done on the car, not bad for 36years old, done the thermo gasket and thermo, changed the drive belt and hoses / anti-freeze too, all other little bits of rust treated ready for when i get to it.

got new spark plugs today to go in over the next week or so, and i have also taken out the grills to restore them has after 36 years they were showing ware and tear,

well she needs to be in a good state for the powderham castle classic show in July, then the Mountbattern classic car show in August too.

Thats a really nice car you've got there mate, and a really late too!!! :D
I think french blue really suits the Toledo, and this one looks so standard and unmolested :P

Look forward to seeing the car at some shows then, in the short coming future!

Great to see Toledos now getting the attention they deserve - they have lived for far too long in the shadow of the other cars.

Long live the Toledo! :clapping:

I love the Toledo and Dolomite entry level 1300/1500 models as they were the entry level way into Triumph motoring.A class above your Ford,Vauxhall etc of the day :)

Thankfully good people like yourself have ignored this and are giving another Toledo a new lease of life! Good luck with the restoration. I'm sure it will be a cracker once finished.

In my opinion the Toledo has a much nicer back end and rear light arangement than a Dolomite.

The Dolomite to me looks like someone has just bolted two caravn rear lights on the end

Glenn has a fair point, and perhaps it's to be expected seeing as the original design for that shell (1300 fwd) came with the smaller backside. I also like the fact that the Toledo boot lid opens to bumper level, makes it much easier to load up the bodies of those tramps that one occasionally knocks down and kills in the road.

But feel free to post a picture of a caravan that has reversing lamps built in. There's not a connection for them on a 7 pin socket.
