Hi all new to the triumph club but seem to have ended up with 3 dolomites to restore.
You all probably know of VA 285 it seems to have been around the club with different owners. I picked it up last week from Vic and work has allready started on her, i will be posting pictures as i go along, hopeing to have
her finished by beging June.
Along with 285 will be building a twin bike engined 4 wheel drive sprint, will start a thread on her when work begins in a few weeks time. Be interested to know what you all think

Andy

Wishing you well with these plans, Andy. It's odd how I stay only a few miles from Bedlington, yet never yet got to meet Vic or see his twin yellow Dollies.

The twin engined idea sounds like a great project, and it's been done with minis, kittens, Rebels and at least a couple of Bedford Rascal-type vans so there are now people selling various reversing solutions and flywheels to fit for use with car-style, sdp clutches, plus I reckon that the Dolly shell should be just about light enough for bike engines if you use enough of them. :D

I'm just down the coast in Ellington so with a bit of luck I'll see the Sprint on the road some day, once it's restored. 8)
