I haven't been to Combe for many years, so, if the weathers nice i might pop down for a gander

I found a old video of mine the other day ( yes i mean VHS, remember those?) this was one of the better quality ones  , it's good to see video cameras have improved vastly :D

And who was it who said 1300's can't sound good or go well?

The stuff of legend Gordon, thanks for posting.

Are you sure it's an 1300 :?: :?: , well done indeed, although that 4' gear is killing you.

Thanks for the kind words guys :D

Oh yes! she was defiantly a 1300 fwd,the same car as in my avatar

Yes Hans you're spot on with the gearing, but this car was my every day driver for 10years so i had taller gearing (1500 fwd gearbox fitted with a 1300 4.11cwp)

I'm planning to built a fwd car just for track days and light competition just to see how far we can go with the tuning.
That car only had about 80-85bhp, standard cam(sc), single 40dcoe and a v/rare extractor manifold with a side exit just in fornt of the back wheel. Though the reason it was as quick as it was has down to the handling and A509 Yokohamas ( Yes it had alloy wheels  )

Coombe is definitely my favourite circuit but I don't think the Carledo is quite ready for it yet! Needs at least some better brakes and the rear suspension sorting! Maybe next year....... Besides I'm running at Marston the saturday before (where brakes aren't such an issue) and don't think the wallet or the spousal tolerance guage will stretch to both!!! Steve

OK, hope to see some of you there. I haven't booked any track sessions but will see what the weather's like on the day. I have to go anyway to pick up my 48s. :D

The one Dolomite on track! Hardly surprising due to the conditions.
I just dried out myself.
