Awbridge Village Fete & Motor Fair-Near Romsey

Have been to this event for the last couple of years and it is a great afternoon out - plenty of interesting cars and bikes to look at plus usual village fete events in the ring, plus you get a free drink and burger or cake for suporting the event!

Peter Allen sent me the email below which is self explanatory and it would be good to help him meet the 200 car target (only saw one other Dolomite there last year), so if you are free and can make it give Peter a call 01794340709 or email him or just turn up on the day if the weather is good.

Good Day All.
Just a gentle reminder about the best motor fair and fete that you should not miss. It's at Awbridge nr Romsey SO51 0HG on the 12 of May 2012.If you bring your classic/interesting car/ van / bike, I will give you a voucher to pick a drink or a burger/or home made cake to say " thank you" for supporting us. We need as many cars and bikes as we can get to break the 200 mark this year ; so tell all your friends/club members to ring or mail me if they can make it by 12 to 12.30 on the day.

Have just checked with the organisers and they have said that all cars need to be on the field by 12 Noon, so, with the weather forcast for the weekend looking good, hope to see a few Dolomites there on Saturday.

Well, I went along to this show..and what an absolute cracker! Yes..sun, cars and location..but mainly all down to the lovely atmosphere that a village fete brings. I will definately be going again.

It was great to meet up again with Simon, John and families.

Many thanks to Simon for the heads up on this show.. Like the late, great Frank Carson used to say.."it's a cracker!"
