Position of "TRIUMPH" front panel badge

#1 Post by Toledo Man »

Can anyone give me the exact position of the above? It is the badge that the cars up to 1976 had on the nearside in front of the bonnet. I can work out the distance between the pins but I could do with the exact positions of the holes on the front panel.

Nice one Mart. Cheers!

I've ordered some badge fixers from Rimmer Bros.

Note that the badge doesn't sit straight across the front, it sits at an angle, the inside edge of the badge being closer to the front of the car than the outside edge, the badge is also closer to the bonnet aperture than to the front of the panel, have a look at one whose badge was original as were the positions of the holes so:

And a different view, see how the badge sits parallel to the edge of the bonnet. Not to the edge of the front panel:

Here is mine, checked this morning. It is parallel with the edge of the bonnet. Holes one inch down and 1st hole 5 1/8" from the wing join. [car 1st reg'd August 1975]
