hi there chaps after buying my car i found an advert on here about it,viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7884,
i bort this in a pretty sorry state from ebay, chap in chatham had it were he began to restore it then done his back in when removen the engine, so i got it minus engine box and interior,

my plans 4 it will involve in a 2litre 16v rs2k lump and type 9 box and a genrall freashen up

Well done for taking it on. I devoted hundreds of man hours to that little car and it was really nice when I sold it on. The underneath in particular was exceptional.

I wonder what happened to the engine and box. They were from an original 40K miles Toledo that had been hit side on that I broke up, and ran as sweetly as any ohv engine I have ever sat behind.

I pleased the car lives to fight another day.

Here it is in happier times...

engine, box and interior was all kept by previous owner, to say im happy with this little jem is an understatement, just need to start collecting parts 4 her then 2 go back on the road and odd track days

If I may be so bold, I suggest you change the thread's title to something more relevant to the project
eg RS2K Toledo or Toledo 2000.

Definitely glad I binned the S2k engine idea now, they're just getting rather common

bin doing some small bitz n pieces,

cant find me camera, but the front end is more or less sorted, just the hole in the drivers side wing thats still needs doing,
rescently aquired some classic style bucket seats, not sure if im gunna use them or the seats im getting sunday???
also sprayed some black under the bonnet, now after some head scratching about fitting the engine im not gunna be touching the subframe to much other then removen the gearbox mounting originally my engine was a fwd setup so had a front bowl sump which wouldnt work that great if atal in rwd format, so ive replaced it with 1 from a sierra dohc 8v as there the same block so its guna have 2 go right back, it will involve sum surgery with the fire wall but id rather that then chopping a subframe,

im after another of these reverse lights, if any 1 got 1???

That is looking like good progress is being made... I am sure this will be back up to scratch in no time!

I particularly like the bucket seats, they looking very good in there and I am sure that they will add to the ambience once all is done and dusted...

thanks buddy, im still not to sure about the seats but ill leave judgement till iv got the rest of the interior together so i can complete a dry build then its full steam into a final build,
any 1 got a wiring diagram 4 this??? so i no what needs change/upgradeing

These are made by Wipac, they were fitted to a variety of cars throughout the 60s/70s, just had a look on eBay under 'Wipac reversing lights' they seem to command some very high prices now (as they were it seems fitted to Mk1 Escorts ).

Might be worth searching eBay now and again under something more general like 'car reversing light' and you may strike luck!
