Awbridge Village Fete & Motor Fair-Near Romsey

Have been to this event for the last few years and it is a great afternoon out - plenty of interesting cars and bikes to look at plus usual village fete events in the ring, also you get a free drink and burger or cake for suporting the event!

Peter Allen sent me the email below which is self explanatory and it would be good to help him meet the 240 + car target (several Dolomites there last year - nice one Reg), so if you are free and can make it give Peter a call 01794340709 or email him allen609@btinternet.com or just turn up on the day if the weather is good.

Good Day All

Just a reminder that the best fete and motor fair in Hampshire is on the 11th of May at Awbridge . Those of you that have been before know how good it is ; so please tell all you friends and club members that it's well worth the drive.

The usual bribe of a burger or tea/coffee is on offer to say 'thank you' for supporting us.

With your help we could beat the 244 cars and bikes we had last year , so let everyone know. See you at 12 noon on the day.

Pretty much only go to shows now where the entrance fee/donation is for good causes rather than to/for a business..

Well, despite the weather being a mixed bag of heavy but brief showers and sunny spells this was a good day out...

Chris & Denise popped along (Tangocharlie) to say hello albeit Dolly-less due to prepping for Star90, soz for giving you a bit flack over being a fair weather driver

Well, it wasn't..so I didn't! .

A real shame for me, but glad to see there were braver souls than I. It would of been nice to catch up with you all again..

Even in the typical "April" weather this fete still managed to be an enjoyable afternoon, not sure of the total classic car count yet but reckon in excess of 220.
Had a chat with Chris but missed Dave, although we must have been close, as I am in the background of one of his excellent pics.

Hope for better weather next year.
