Exhaust

Yay I've finally got a side exit exhaust :D Using a 'Pico 2 Big Bore' back box off a mini that now acts as the centre silence and then the back box that was on the 1500 dolly when it was a 1500 that points out the side :D

Sounds good and was easy to cobble together. I've been driving it to and from work with just the pico box as a silencer and it was blowing like mad... Fitted it better yesterday (no blows) and there was no improvement in performance... Made this side exit exhaust today and it even goes better :D

90 degree bends in your exhaust system, mmmm, guaranteed performance losses

System looks good but I can't help feeling it looks a bit gash with the silencer butting out from the sill - if it were just a piece of tubing instead, slash cut from an angle to match the line of the sill, I think it'd look much better/meaner/less ugly.

What the hell is going on with that rear wing as well? It looks like it's cracked? :?

Anyway, I digress. It all going alright now and settled in with it's new lump? :)

I'd be concerned about fumes being drawn into the car when you open a window...

Yer maybe at idle. It's ok anyway, I sit up front :D

Considering how rattly and smoke that engine is, it performs suprisingly well.

Sorry but have to say it don't sound any different to a standard system to me - was it worth it?

(I guess that's why you changed it?)

Is it not kind of close to the ground.

It is louder than the rimmers SS one I got on my yellow dolly, and that has blown baffles in the centre box
