had a herald 13/60 that had the starting handle fitting crank pulley nut. So I guess it was pinched from a standard 10 or similar. Probably small bearing (was a few years ago) so those crank fittings wouldn't fit a toledo (unless fitted with the better, earlier engine)
Maybe an old boy just wanted a starting handle like his previous cars had?

Is this it? I cannot read the complete registration number, but it appears to be BDD 24? K)
I found the picture in the following topic thread:
http://autoshite.com/topic/15366-last-c ... ng-handle/
In 1988/89, my father had a starting-handle facility retro-fitted to our rear-engined, 1973 VW "1600" Type 2 Westfalia Continental campervan, which was prone to intermittent "dead starter-motor syndrome", which had previously struck without warning on a few occasions, under very inconvenient circumstances.
I would like to do the same, with my 1974 Triumph Toledo 1300, if it's not too involved a procedure.
