Rose tinted glasses?

I've been very lax with checking this forum lately, and my 1850 has been a little neglected too - having the due date for my first baby approaching rapidly has meant the focus has been on getting the house, crib, cot, etc ready, as well as having a new job to get on top of. But now being about as ready as I can be (am sure you can never be completely ready for your first child's arrival!). And with baby deciding to be late what better way to spend a late autumn morning then driving my Dolomite for the first time in four weeks. A few standard pre-flight checks and a touch of air in the front tyres and off we went - somehow the roads seemed quieter, people seemed friendlier (thumbs up from a couple of pedestrians and some waves too), and all seemed okay in the world - then home and back to reality with a can of paint, couple of brushes and a bathroom to paint - oh well!
