Another vote for buy an HL.
Headlights, headlight panels, headlight wiring loom grill, complete dash and wiring loom, seats, door cards and capping's, wheels, and possibly more parts needed to change spec.

ive asked the person for photos of the interior a few times but no reply, has anyone got photos of a 1500 interior? i really like the better hl interior but i could maybe live with a 1500 one, just mainly the headlights that put me off these models lol just a personal thing really

The square headlights give a better beam pattern and light the road ahead better.
It is a lot of work and costly to change to quad lights and you need a car with very solid wings.

A bit blurry, but here you go:
Differences are - flat dash with no rev counter, no wood cappings, different door trims, and narrower vinyl seats. Also you get a non-adjusting steering column. The seats and door stuff can be changed in a half-day with very little hassle, the steering column isn't too hard to do when the driver's seat is removed, but the dash will be a bit of a faff because there's quite a bit of difference in the wiring.

thanks for the reply and photo, the car in strathpeffer was sold for just £115 but it wasnt worth me going away up the top of scotland for it when the owner wasnt really into giving me much detailed info on it but the interior of the 1500 still looks ok,

If I were you, I would look at a 1300. Far stronger engine than the 1500. You would get the same interior as the standard 1500, then you could make a 1300hl.
