Could anyone recommend someone to rebuild my engine please?

I have just bought a fully refurbished, lightened and balanced bottom end and refurbished head, all machined and assembled by HT Howard that have been stored for about a year without being assembled to each other.

I don't doubt they are spot on, but I would like the head stripping and gas flowing to suit twin 45 Dellortos and something like an str91 cam adding, both assy's disassembling and then reassembling to all the correct tolerances with any bits like the oil pump and filter housing looking at and fettling to today's standards.

It's not that I don't trust what has been done, but I would like someone who knows Sprint engines to work on it!

I would prefer someone in the Northwest but will travel for the right chap!

Cheers. :)

I've sent you a PM Ken.

Actually Jon Jackson (in Portsmouth, so local then!) is building it as the work that the 'professional' builder has attempted is slap dash at best and woeful at worst.

As an aside Ken, in your considerable experience, have you ever come across any cams that the rocker arms do not line up with the lobes on on the cam, namely the 6th and 8th lobe from the pulley?

Needless to say, I'm having some problems with a piper 285 cam that isn't aligned yet the three std cams we've tried fit perfectly?
