1850 / Sprint wiring loom run.

My fuel gauge has stopped working. Naturally I suspected the connectors in the boot by the sender unit. But having re-made the connections there is still no improvement. So I checked the gauge itself, and that is O.K., and there are volts on both terminals, and looking for volts on the tank sender unit, the low-fuel light is O.K. but it looks like a break in the green/black wire from the gauge to the sender. I've found the front-to-back wiring loom running along the nearside sill and under the seat and found it emerging from the rear n/s inner wing but are there any sharp bends in it where the cable could chafe through ?
Where does this loom run to get across the car to the fuel gauge on the other side please ?
It would be unusual for a straight run of cable to have a break in it I think.
I ran out of daylight today so it will be later this week I get to it again.
Thanks very much,
Tony.

Passenger side of the car above the parcel shelf there is a terminal block (9 way connector) this is the connector for all the rear end wiring, the loom is then clip to the front inner bulkhead panel around the top of the gear box tunnel, then back to the bulkhead then it splits some into the engine bay and the rest up to the dash where there is three connectors. If you take out the front parcel shelf and your instrument panel you will see the loom.

I'd suspect the loom connector under the dash Tony.
I cant see the wire breaking between the connector and the tank sender. It does go under some carpet and through a grommetted hole behind the seat back but it should be ok.

Tony, have you got a parts catalogue? They show where on the car the parts are situated. Here are the pages for the wiring loom.

That's great ! Thanks everyone. I didn't know about that block connector by the nearside parcel shelf, so I had a quick look at lunch time and there are no volts on either side of fuel gauge wire at that connector, but the Low Fuel indicator has volts OK there.
So I compared that detailed photo with the parts book previous page 10-03L fascia diagram and there are 3 more block connectors on the off side. My money is on a dodgy pin in one of those !
Thanks all,
Tony.

You should see a voltage at one side of the fuel gauge - its fed by the light green wire which comes for the voltage stabilizer, how is the temperature gauge performing as this gauge is also fed from the same feed.
The light green cable is in the terminal block which has 7 pins - it goes to the fuel gauge where another light green cable within the spade terminal spurs off and goes to the temperature gauge.
The green / black cable is also with that block with 7 pins.
As for the low fuel warning light that fed from the ignition circuit (white cable) which is in the block with 9 pins.
