I have just gone and done it. Always wanted one so bought myself a Sprint for my 59th birthday. LRM 798L. Rolling shell at present but she will be beautiful. Very solid for her age. She will need an exhaust and other bits and bobs but most of what I need has come with the car. I have a slight concern that I don't have all the necessary nuts and bolts to put it back together. Would there be something somewhere that would give me the spec for nuts and bolts required relevant to fixings?
Cheers!
Gaz.

Hi Gaz, Welcome to the forum. I would try and get an official B.L. parts book -they are frequently available on E-bay. This would give you a picture of the fastener, location, and the nut and bolt part numbers. This can then be cross-referred on Rimmer Bros; web site for fastener precise description.
Good choice of car btw. LRM 798 L features in the 1999 Member's cars list, so it has good provenance.
Good luck with the project,
Tony.

Hello there, welcome to this most wonderful forum...
Whatever you need to know you will find the answer here or there will be someone along to provide an answer before you have time to blink...!!!
It sounds like you've got your hands on a rather early Sprint there so I suppose restoration will be a painstaking process trying to get the details spot-on...?! It'll be worth all the hard work in the end though as there really is no other car quite like it...
Anyhow, I do hope you get stuck in on this forum. Good luck with the restoration sir, please show us some pictures of the old brute as soon as you can...

Welcome to the forum Gaz.
I have the parts catalogue in PDF format if that's of any help to you. I can also post individual pages on here if there's anything specific. Wherabouts are you? There might be somebody local to you who can help. I suggest that you check out Mad Mart's Sprint restos. They're in a sticky thread in the "resto" section of the forum so you should be able to find them easily. I have some back issues of Dolly Mixture (the Club magazine) from 1999 so I'll take a look and see if I can turn anything up.
Don't forget to join the Club. It will be money well spent.

Have visited Mad Mart's website often. Motivated me even more to buy a sprint but mine will be white! Are white sprints rare?

Do you have the Commission Number, it starts VA then numbers.
The perceived wisdom is that the first 2000 were Mimosa yellow so I'm intrigued f yours is L reg, sub 2000 and white.
