Hi all,
I've bought an spare engine for my Spitfire a year ago and it actually came out of Toledo 1500.
Now got the waterpump & housing off because it's so rusty.

But the fan on the waterpump is actually a metal one from a Spitfire mk1 to mk3 !
Now i want to know how old the engine is ..
Maybe someone can find it out by the hand of my engine number.

DM63****ESS

So it's also a factory supplied spare (SS at the back), so what is the story on that ? smile-emoticon
:)

Don't forget to swap the sump over. Spitfires and Heralds are different to Toledo/Dolomites.

You probably already know that.

The engine was already installed in a spitfire , so it's a straight swap ;)

I should have realised that by the engine mounts.
