1500 carb rebuild kits

My dolly 1500 likes to hunt at idle, the revs dropping off, and stalling without a bit of throttle. No amount of fiddling with the carbs has managed to cure this problem, so I suspect they are worn. I was wondering if anymore has recommendations for a supplier of refurbishment kits?

Burlen are the suppliers. Andrew turner can supply, but he gets them from Burlen and sells at the same price IIRC. Just get genuine SU stuff.....
Usually a set of spindles helps enormously. Hopefully the bodies are OK, if not finding a good set is the best option.

Thanks, carbs are a bit of a dark art to me. Even though it is asking for trouble, it is a potential winter project. Hopefully I won't make them worse.

My recommendation is you strip one at a time so that you have an example to look as to see how the springs are fitted when you come to put it back together.

Price up all the bits you will need before you start.
Then ask some of the respected refurbishers how much to do the job (Burlen, Turner etc). Turner also polish the bodies and inlet manifold.

I've done one and inspecting it, there doesn't seem to be much wrong with it. No play I can find, no visual damage, but I have the things off, so might as well do them both.
