Central intertia rear seat belt?

I love making life difficult for myself, and here is the next example....
My daughter is now ready for her next car seat which will require a 3 point inertia belt to be fitted.
I have already fitted Isofix into the car, but in the centre. I did this, because of the extra safety it affords. I can remember reading from some Scandavian safety tests (I think) that the middle of the car is far safer than either side - for obvious reasons. So I want to continue there.
Now, will I be able to fit the reel in the parcel shelf for a central seat. Any reason why this wouldn't work?
