my '72 toledo called kermit.

i first brought the toledo as a run around while i was restoring my spitfire. but since driving it around a lot my love for it grew and the spitfire became a background project and the toledo came into full use.
I've got a work van so i don't use it every day but i use it from weekends away at shows to popping into town for some shopping.

being a 'k' reg and emerald green the name kermit was chosen, so along came the kermit the frog souvenirs for it.
this year will be my 2nd year of owning kermit and i can safely say i won't be selling it.
when i first brought it, it was very much standard. but that was soon to change with the rear exhaust cut off and modified to straight through so its got a burble to it now, nice new air filter fitted, electronic ignition. I've also lowered kermit to make it hold the road better, fitted some wider 5 1/2J weller steel's in black.
the bonnet had the usual rotten front corners when i got it so i found a cheap replacement that was perfectly, so after a few coats of matt black it was fitted.
I've recently fitted a pair of corbeau reclining bucket seats in the front as the originals were starting to collapse and i wanted something abit more comfortable as i am going to do the round Britain reliability run with club triumph next year.

Kermit also wears a roof rack and external sun visor. the visor of which was lucky find on ebay, cost abit but definitely worth it.
of coarse the TOLEDO stickers on it and to be added as a lot of people at shows make comments about it being a dolomite.

Kirk, I suggest that you upload your photos to a hosting site such as Photobucket or Flickr and then you can post your links. Uploading them onto the forum takes up server space (resizing them does alleviate this problem) and the photos are a bit hard to view even on my 24" monitor at home.

From what I can see that is one lovely Toledo... They're great little cars aren't they?!

As mentioned you need to squeeze your pictures down a little bit to make them easier to view as I'm sure we all want to see your cracking little Triumph in all its glory.

Anyhow, please do keep us posted on your adventures together. I can imagine there will be quite a fair few...?!

All sorted now. I didn't have to resize them all. I find the sweet spot to be a horizontal size of 1024 pixels which seems to suit most monitors. Another advantage of reducing the size of the photos is that you don't lose picture quality so it is a win-win situation all round.

Very nice. It sits really nicely on those wheels, always nice to see a Tolly/Dolly on something other than Sprint alloys! :D

Hello. Lovely Toledo you have there. 8)

Emerald green is such a nice colour..such a shame Triumph/BL never had it as an option for longer. Emerald, topaz and carmine sould of been available on every Triumph for as long as they lasted I reckon.

Emerald with a bri-nylon biscuit beige interior..perfection! 8)
