Ignition Switch

#1 Post by K100ASG »

Hi Everyone on my Triumph 1500 FWD the ignition switch is giving me grief most times I have to turn it on and off about 6 or 7 times before it turns the engine over, the ignition lights come on as normal but when you turn to start engine nothing happens until you turn off and on would this be the ignition switch itself needing replacing ?? if so where would I get one ?? Thanks

Could be the switch or the lock. On my old one I have to push the key in to get the start position to work ok.

New switches do turn up but may need a rewire to match your loom plugs if you have the old rubbery grey type.
