Hi after doing a few miles in my sprint after the layup It ran out of fuel in the carbs . Im going for another pump so.. where to buy reliable pump from is the question. ANG do one are they any good? Im getting worried about repro stuff now and cant afford a breakdown. I would consider a known good used pump if anyone has one but i need something quick ideally.
Cheers
Tony

Before you condemn the pump have you checked for pin holes in all of the rubber joining sections of the fuel pipe?
The pump will then just suck in a big air bubble....which is unhelpful.
I've found the AC delco standard fit or the Q-H replacements to be pretty good provided you match arm and spacer....

jonner's, I've eliminated the pipework by using a fresh length of hose into a petrol can near the front wheel and pressure gauge read the same as when stock pipe was running. The pump was on this car when I had it but I only had trouble when doing a 70 mph run yesterday to check speedo with my mates modern.
Who sells ac or qh ones these days? I assumed they would all be no name specials by now? Does arm and spacer length vary on sprint pumps?
Cheers

OE was short arm, no spacer. Many aftermarket are long arm, therefore requiring a spacer. Spacers readily available from the usual suspects.

I have a few long arm ones but they may be of TR7 origin.
I would try Fitchetts Winns Paddocks or Robsport. Any of them should be able to help.
