Mappable Ignitions Systems

I am wondering what peoples experience is with mappable ignition systems for the Sprint.
I know a couple of people are using Megajolt. What other systems do people have experience of and what are the pros and cons?
Does any one on the forum have experience with NODIZ?
Any help or pointers would be really appreciated.

I used megajolt on my v8 spitfire with awesome effect. I chopped the top off of the dizzy so that the bonnet would fit and it's a tidy installation. plenty of maps to download for allsorts of engines and I don't see why you couldn't even use another 4 cylinder car with the correct firing order and close enough timing etc. I did my set up 12 years ago so I'm sure things have advanced (pun) over the years. have you thought about going the whole hog and switching to megasquirt and using the SU's as throttle bodies?
not about fitting to a sprint I know but at least it's an answer and a recommendation for a brand. I would put it on my 1500tc but the car is way too original to mess about with like that.
good luck fella

I wouldn't worry about car-specific stuff. The fact is the mappable ignitions do work, and very well.
Heard good things about n0diz on the kitcar fori, and there is a 123 dizzy too that is fully programmable.
If you are after a megajolt, I have an unused one here, not sure if I have the edis or coilpack, but I do have a set of proper motorcraft ignition leads (that fit normal plugs) to go with it. Though they may not be too handy for a sprint!

to make the correct length leads I bought a plug lead crimping tool and set about a scrapyard cutting the ends off of a load of the appropriate fords, I then bought some decent plug lead and made them so cutting the sprint plug ends off and adding them to the above mentioned motorcraft ones is easily done. the crimping tools can be a little pricey though but you can get some cheaper ones from the states or I could post you mine under trust.

NODIZ looks nice but shame it won't do fuel injection. If i was paying out to have this, I'd want the option of FI in the future so something like Megasquirt (which does do injection) would be my choice. Plenty of international experience and maps to share and rolling road users will be more familiar with them.
For what it's worth, i'd say any engine which ditches the old distributor with it's contact breakers and goes over to this type of precision ignition timing will benefit in lots of ways such as nil-maintenance, more refinement and better fuel economy.
