Hi again folks, one of the captive nuts for the rear door hinges has stripped, what are my option's please? Myles.
I have got.......
Two or three options for you to consider Myles....
No.1 Do nothing, the door will be unaffected by having one bolt missing
No.2 Tap the threaded hole to (the slightly larger) M8.
Purists will not be liking employing metric but it seems silly to me to miss an easy fix.
No.3 Fit a Helicoil adapter, thereby retaining the Imperial bolt. More expensive than the other two.
