Monte Carlo Scottish Start - 27 January 2016

Caledonian Classic & Historic Motorsport Club - http://www.caledonianmsc.freeuk.com

Regs and Entry Forms are now available for the Monte Carlo Historique Scottish Start supporting events, the Monte Carlo Classique, and Heritage runs. 2016 will see three Heritage runs, from John O' Groats to Paisley, Paisley to Loch Lomond (Balmaha) and Paisley to Dumfries.
You can download Regs and Entry Forms now from the dedicated Monte Scotland website http://www.monte.scot

Any club members thinking of taking part? This coming January there is an additional run from John o' Groats which is almost local for me so I've entered ACK 193R (1500HL), fingers crossed!
I've tried to take part twice before (in my Mk IV Spitfire} but the weather has beaten me each time, either by preventing the ferry from sailing to allow me to get to the mainland or because of heavy snow which would not have made my journey to Paisley for the start a bit dodgy!

It's worth going to the actual Monte start as well, some amazing cars there!!

have a look at their website, plenty going on throughout the year as well. :)

I don't think the first link is quite what you'd intended.

Hopefully, this will be a better choice!

Entries close on 20th January 2016 but places for the 2016 event are limited due to the cars from John o' Groats being added to the start list at Paisley Abbey. The event is open to cars manufactured from the 1940s to 1981 and also cars from a later date but which were in production during the years stated. Other cars are permitted at the discretion of the organisers. The route will be on public A and B roads on sealed surfaces and this will be supplied in the form of a "Tulip" Roadbook after documentation inspection and signing on, prior to the start of the Heritage Run.

Entry costs £29 and Regs and Entry Forms are now available for the Monte Carlo Historique Scottish Start supporting events, the Monte Carlo Classique, and Heritage runs. 2016 will see three Heritage runs, from John O' Groats to Paisley, Paisley to Loch Lomond (Balmaha) and Paisley to Dumfries
Regs and Entry Forms can be downloaded from the dedicated Monte Scotland website http://www.monte.scot

Hopefully, my entry will be accepted and I will then receive details which I'll post on here. The Caledonian Club website will also have details nearer the time.

Thanks.

LeJog ended yesterday in Wick for the first time (rather than John O'Groats :? ?) and coincidentally I spoke to the owner of the Seaview Hotel last night,
he being not happy about the restructured LeJog but he told me that the departure is after breakfast on the Wednesday.....

:( :(
Been in hospital with a chest infection most of this past week, though I'm back home my body is still a bit knackered so I'm going to have to give the Heritage Run a miss (yet again)
:( :(
