Hi
I have owned the sprint for about six months and have started restoring parts already, mainly under the bonnet. Carbs rebuilt, radiator brackets and odd pipes cleaned and painted.
I will be rebuilding the engine first through the winter then the outside, haven't decided what colour to do yet, open to suggestions!!

Rebuild of carbs, all the little bits take ages to clean.
New jets, needles, gaskets etc.

I'm probably the wrong person to talk about colours, mainly because I really like mimosa and Inca, though if I had to name a preference I think second place would have to go to delft blue, and then flamenco red. Though if I went with flamenco I'd probably go pearlescent just for the fun of it!

Nice to see a distant cousin of my 1850 reg number VGK 45W! Spotted this on ebay a few months ago and was tempted. Good luck with her, personally I'd stick to the Inca. I agonised for ages as mine is in for respray as to wether to stick to the original brooklands green or change to inca. I have settled on staying original because i like the brooklands almost as much as the inca and do want to do a full strip and respray!

What area are you Im in North Kent, Sittingbourne to be precise, Im hoping to get mine all finished and back together in time to go to a show or 2 IF i can remember how to reattach all the shiny bits in time!
If you are in the southern area and are thinking about taking in the odd show be fun to see such close number plates together!
Good luck with the renovation

I'm in Bristol, I'm hoping to be back on my the road before the summer but the body work will be done over the summer as a rolling project
Depending on the weather it would be nice to enjoy it this year, it would be cool to put the two cars next to each other at a show or meeting.

Hand injuries are a real pain in that it stops you doing and thinking more of what you could have done.
Wishing you a speedy recovery,

Yeah that's true, I was very lucky it only squashed the side of my hand and not my knuckles.
The knuckle looks good from the inside lol
