Sprint restoration now complete a lot of hard work and money spent to get there but pleased with the result.
Just to finish it off a set of Rover 45 seats fitted, gives that extra modern day drive feeling.

Looks lovely
Are the Rover seats an easy swap or is there a lot of alterations to make?
Cheers

Tony, it has been done before. The rear seats are just wedged in. It is such a tight fit that they just stay in place. Rover 45 seats are on my wish list. With those seats and the walnut veneer it reminds me of the Panther Rio.

That looks absolutely fabulous Keith. To some people Magenta is a marmite colour but in my view one of the best. Simply stunning.

Just to add a few more pointers to the information available to fit the Rover 45 interior:
1) There is a base plate that is part of the rear seat set up on the rover, make sure you get this also as it can be modified to fit over the dolomite drive train tunnel, bolted to the floor with spacers and provides the anchor point to fit the base seat.
2) The upper part of the back seat can be wedged in and I used a couple of anchor bolts through the dolomite X brace to keep it all in place.
3) Remove all the rails and brackets from the rover front seats and connect the dolomite runners trying to be as close to the bottom of the rover seats as possible with new brackets as required. I don't feel the height of the Rover seats fitted is much different from original if completed this way.

I think they look great.
From my experience of fitting them & being 6'2" where they are firmer than the original seats I found that may head was nearly touching the headlining.
I was really disappointed to have to take them out after all the work of converting them.

Oh feck! I'm the same height as you Tony. I'll just have to stick with the normal seats.
By the way, that Sprint looks absolutely gorgeous. A testament to all your hard work and expenditure.

Beautiful job!
Magenta is one of the rarest colour's isn't it?
Is there another Sprint colour rarer?
