Right my dolly is in having a couple of small patches done and have found that both inner cills are a bit caput. Could someone who has had these repairs done previously give me a rough idea on cost? The panels aren't a problem as the club provides them. Just trying to get a rough idea.
Thanks

Can you give us a bit more of an idea of what needs doing? A picture paints a thousand words! Is the rot inside the car or underneath?
Prices can also vary, depending on who you know and where you live!

Hi Steve. It's the inner cill strengtheners. Although I'm sure once the outer cills are off there will be more work found. These are pictures taken from a short video.

What I can see here (if I'm interpreting it correctly) is a nasty bodge has been perpetrated, ie the outer sill has been hacked off and a cover sill fitted whilst ignoring the state of the sill diaphragm panels - a typical "MOT repair" as, after all, the tester can't see the rot that's left inside, so can't fail it! I take it this is "keyhole camera" footage?
Anyway, back to our muttons, the only "proper" solution to this is to remove both outers and do what should have been done in the first place which will involve 2 new diaphragm panels and 2 new outer sills (approx £200) plus labour (I would say at least £400 for both sides) and paint/underseal/waxoyl etc on top. With the real possibility of more repairs to the sill soffits and jacking points being needed once they are exposed.
Sorry to be a downer, but that's how I see it.
