I have now acquired a Dolomite. It is a 1500 HL manual overdrive. Does anyone know whether changing to automatic is feasible at a reasonable cost in money and time?

Few little bits of wiring, gearbox tunnel, swap brake pedal, prop (I think), gearbox mount, gearbox, kickdown cable (and some carb linkage), think the throttle cable is different.. Donor car will make life a lot easier.

On the upside, the value of the 2nd hand overdrive gearbox and fittings will almost certainly recoup your parts outlay, maybe even show a small profit! I have a 1500 auto drive plate/ring gear if you need one!

Wouldn't it have been easier to buy an auto in the first place? There have been a few offered on sale recently.
