Just noticed that they have a no VAT sale at Machine Mart and I must say that though I'm a bit skint after splashing out on a major birthday holiday, I'm sorely tempted at £259...

Not much tempts me at that place any more. The quality has dropped through the floor. I bought a tool box, cheap rollcab to keep at home. When i got it home, it didnt lock properly. Can i swop it for another? Nope, has to be sent away under warranty to be repaired.... It was one day old. I didnt bother, wont go back.

The garage I'm using is fantastic.





This one is going now as during this sale I've bought the bigger one. 9 foot longer again:D

Richard, how does it stand up to windy conditions?

What size was your one Richard? I'm trying to get the smallest overall size that is still a usable workshop and was thinking 4.9 x 3.7 x 2.6m?

I doubt I would be able to use it all the time, neighbours will no doubt cast a wary eye (and the odd brick) at that, but it would be so useful when I need to work on the car at a weekend and the weather isn't favourable.

I don't suppose it provides much in the way of soundproofing or noise containment!

It stands up to the weather incredible well. Ours is sat on a base with 1 inch polystyrene sheets then a water proof sheet then Mdf on top of that. Brilliant. I will find out what size mine is tomorrow and report back:D it doesn't contain any noise. If anything by some miracle it makes it louder. But as long as your sensible with the times you work you should be ok:)

Measured mine today and it's the 4.9 metre one. Planty big Enough for basic work. To be honest it's big enough for a lot more too:)
