Dolomite sprint kit car

Spring has sort of sprung, so I got the old sprint kit car out and took it for a shakedown. Pleased to say that apart from the overdrive switch failing everything went great. BUT, yeah there is a but, I noticed it seemed a little "coarse" while under heavy throttle, cruising and easing along great, but on long empty hills when I put the hammer down it went, but felt a bit rough, but it went. Could it be stale fuel? been in the car all winter and I did top it up in the morning. As a postscript I fixed the overdrive switch last evening, its now all cleaned out and rewired, works a treat. Here is to a good summer of Sprinting.

Old fuel....
Definitely helps to get new stuff in.... I leave my old heaps with just enough to get to the garage after the first shakedown...
This was a bit of an issue when the Sprint decided to stick its clutch though.....I ran out of fuel freeing it off.
