Handbrake cable image...

I've had a good search through this forum and feel safe in asking this question as I've struggled to find an appropriate image.
I'm fitting a pair of new Rimmer's handbrake cables and the diagrammes in the Haynes manual, BL repair manual and my BL parts list book don't show what exactly I am after....that is, the images show a bolt going through each hanger (that is welded to the car underfloor), securing each cable in.
When I removed the original cables many moons ago, I don't remember seeing any bolts.
Additionally, the (turned) metal ends on the bellow part of the cable won't go through the hole in the hanger...it's too big for the hole.
Would somebody have a photo of this part of the handbrake assy please
on the car?....as I say....couldn't find one
directly on here?
Thanks in advance O'Wise Ones!

Any help, the bolt goes under the cable, one side holds the exhaust hanger as well.
Click on the picture and you'll be able to zoom.

Ah, cheers James, makes it all a bit clearer now....I wonder if I prise open the slit on the brkt a bit further, the cable might go through?
Out of interest, have you got a pick where the two cable attach to the handbrake 'triangle' please?

The two holes in that triangle for the brake cable nipples face upwards - I will see when I'm back home if I have any more pictures

Yes the brackets have a slot in them. Just shove a screwdriver in the slot and prise it apart a tad, until the cable fits. Then put a bolt through.

I'm up in Glasgow atm - I will look at the weekend when I'm back, all my other pictures are on my other laptop and not loaded on photobucket, I'm sure that I have something like James picture.

Taken from the back of the car, the propshaft has not been installed at this stage. The exhaust has been attached to the left handbrake body attachment.

Thanks from me for the pictures as well, by coincididence I was going to ask for exactly the same thing as I am trying to get a working handbrake. At the moment when I pull the lever, it goes about half way and starts getting tension, then I get a heavy click (sproing!) noise and the lever goes slack, if I keep pulling it goes all the way to the stop without much else happening in the brake department. It had a new exhaust before I got it, I suspect now that there is a bolt missing somewhere and a cable is popping through its retaining clamp.

You asked what size the bolt is that clamps the two cables in their respective slots.
The parts book nominates the bolt as HB712 which is a 1/4 inch dia by 1 and 1/2 inches long UNF, plus a suitable washer and nut. The parts book suggests that only two would be required where as you can see from my photo I have used 4! If you cannot find what you are looking for then drop by and I will remove two of the four out of my car and pass them over to you. Alternatively that BL part number corresponds to a Rimmers part number of SH604121.

Originally you have three bolts. Two to keep the cables and on the left side one extra because there's an exhaust bracket. Did you adjust the brake shoes manually first? It looks like these are not and the ploing sound is the self adjusting system. You do know that triumph has self adjusting rear brakes and that has to be interpreted as you have to adjust yourself?
