Something missing!

So today was fairly productive, battery change, oil and filter change, auto fluid change, but while underneath doing the auto fluid noticed something missing on rear subframe mount n/s, o/s has cup type washer in place but totally missing on n/s? Was too dark to get picture when I'd finished will try tomorrow, no sign of corrosion or of it being there and snapping off or anything, hole doesn't look enlarged, I'm wondering if the garage that rebuilt the engine before I got it just didn't bother to put it on at all! Just like the way they built the engine back up  , That's the only thing I can think of if they maybe had subframe with engine out! Any ideas where I might source new cup washers at all?
Cheers Rich

I got a couple from Alun when I had to have mine replaced last year.

The washer more than likely rotted through, it's fairly common.

Rimmers do them. I think that I got mine from Fitchetts which were plated and cheaper.

I changed both with copious amounts of Smoothrite and a bit of grease around the underside.

There is an alternative bush type that doesnt need the cup washer to locate it, but as has been said they do rust through and drop
off so be sure your subframe is actually still attached.

I once lost both mine and the subframe dropped, which was tough on the intermediate shaft and made the steering heavy...
Lucky not to kill somebody...

That's the problem Jon it's not attached, nut is still there but nothing around it so guessing I will need bush aswell? Will try and post a picture later on, o/s looks ok!

Definitely rusted through and dropped out as per pic, small collar left around nut Image
So looks like I need bush and cup washer, other side seems sound, is it best practice to replace both sides? and are the bolts captive as couldn't feel the head anywhere!

Have managed to remove nut and removed rusted ring that had welded itself to bolt, replaced cup and bush and done up as far as I physically can, and whilst there is absolutely no gap between subframe and top bush, the actual top bush isn't compressed at all! Should it be? :?

The rear subframe mount has a bush between the body and the subframe that should be in a slight state of compression when the
bolt is tightened. If its still loose something isnt right...

Its not loose and there is no gap between bottom of top bush and subframe, just isn't compressed. Can't do it up any more as will probably snap bolt, but have used a breaker bar to try and eek it a bit more but it didn't move!
