I have a 1972 1300 Toledo and there is movement at the steering wheel of the column in the outer.
When I had this on my Morris Minor I got one of these and that was it sorted, felt bush out and plastic in:

I have no idea what I am looking for and searching on the Forum and the internet and the only information is relating to the bottom bushes and UJ connectors.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Not sure about the fixed columns but on the adjustable one there is a bearing race - now hen's teeth.

I have a decent fixed column - where are you? Not really something to post sadly...

The Toledo uses a rubber/nylon bushes in the steering column. The graphic catalogue provides the following part numbers:

Early:
Upper - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-152827
Lower - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-209423

Late:
Upper / Lower - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-152827

It's also probably worth checking the condition of the bulkhead bush - http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-CRC360 - at the same time.
The shear bolts for the column clamp are part number 630431, you may have to look for these though.
The above parts are probably available from a number of sources, but the links should show you what you are looking for.

I am up in Dundee (now updated my profile), I could be further away with a little effort
I 'think' the column is in ok condition but I will have to have a proper look at it.

My Haynes book looks like the early upper in the picture, I will have to see if the car agrees with it though.

It is not desperate but I would rather get it sorted sooner rather than later so save on any unnecessary wear.

Both early and late columns use the same upper bush 152827, the difference is in the lower column bush. The later columns use 152827 for the lower bush also, earlier ones use 209423.
