clutch woes (maybe)

I dont drive my sprint powered kit car nearly enough, due to ill health, lack of funds etc. Today I noticed the clutch is getting very heavy and fierce. Take up from the pedal is toward the top of the travel. It does not slip and holds firm on long climbs etc. My question is, end of the clutch or trouble in the hydraulic section, no leaks at either end and the fluid looks OK. Any help greatly appreciated

Bite point at the top and pedal getting heavier normally means its on its way out. If its not getting used much it may last you ages yet so keep at it until it slips in 4th (then 3rd etc) and get it changed then.

A fierce and heavy pedal is usually a symptom of a dying pressure plate.
Re what to buy, I would go for the lighter SAAB clutch recommended by Jeroen and others and made by (iirc) LUK. Several people on here have adopted this tactic and can, no doubt, furnish you with part numbers.
