How the centre consol gaiter goes together. I have not had one in the car for about 8 years and from the box of bits I have I am unsure and the manual is not clear. I have the vinyl top part but I am not sure how that fixes to the consol. I also have a rubber gaiter that looks like it may go underneath on to the top of the tunnel. I recall round bands and think one may screw on to the tunnel and one may have been a twist fit, but I have yet to find these.

the gauntlet or vinyl top (YKC1581) is fixed to the plastic consul via 4 metal "U" shape clips 615481 - there should be metal ring within the gauntlet which goes on top of the plastic consul and the four clips hold the metal ring Inc. the gauntlet to the consul.

As for the gearbox tunnel - slide the rubber gaitor YKC47 over the stick then there is a metal ring 722800 which is held in position via four screws YZ3405 - thats it - oh make sure that there is a small slit or hole in the rubber gaitor for the overdrive cable.

Thanks Paul . Looks like I am missing the tunnel ring to hold the rubber gaitor. I'll hit the wanted section.

I recently put one in from Rimmers, fitted perfectly.
