MOT pass

I'm sure no one else will be remotely interested but Dolly passed her first MOT in my ownership today - first time as well with just a couple of advisories for perished gaiters.
Very pleased about that. I've done more miles in the car since last October than it's done in any year since the early '90s and it continues to behave itself (touch wood!!)

Au contraire, an MOT pass equals another Dolomite on the road and that must be interesting to every member I'm sure!

The more mine gets driven the better it gets, it clearly does not like the idea of being a museum piece just to be gawped at but wants to be driven, or with a smidge more science when things that are meant to rotate do so, they get coated in lubricant, other bits that get squeezed or pulled are overall much happier than being stuck in one position.

Well done! Good day is a pass day and proof of the invisible to some work that went into it

Always good to hear, it's not something to be taken for granted and I always wonder when I see a car of a certain age, what metaphorical journey it's been on to get that moment in time. Is that a bit philosophical...

Too true. I went to the Standard Triumph Marque Day a couple of weekends ago; before I left I had to liberally lubricate a squeaky suspension bush and the brakes squealed every time they were applied. After the run - 175 miles in total - the squeak stayed away and the brakes were silent. They do like to be used :)
