My Sprint engine gets a bit smokey on hot idling and produces a big blue cloud on hot starting. It doesn't seem to use hardly any oil though so I am assuming its the valve stem seals and I am just refurbishing another Sprint head to swap over.
Stripping the spare head I discover its got seals on all 16 valves which was a surprise!
Anyone else have any opinions on this?

Re: Sprint Valve Stem Seals
I used to find that my Sprint would smoke quite a bit on startup following an extended layup. I put this down to oil leaking from the head into the combustion chamber caused by tired valve stem oil seals. Mine was much more of a white smoke though rather than Blue.

Re: Sprint Valve Stem Seals
Someone has tried to cure a smokey issue before maybe? Cant do much harm fitting them If you plan on adding to the new head get a set or 2 of mini a + engine valve seals. Better quality seals are available for a series and they are the same size as sprint
