1500 drone - engine mountings?

My 1500 drones uncomfortably in 3rd and 4th gear until the revs increase sufficiently for the sound to fade. Could this be engine mountings? It's an overdrive model. I've changed all the UJs and balanced the propshaft. Seems worse when setting off from cold. I put a new mounting under the gearbox recently when installing the overdrive conversion. Can anyone advise what tired mountings look like/sound like? Any advice welcome. Is changing them an easy DIY job? Am running with new big end shells and a new diff. Have had car 10 years & haven't changed the mounts during my ownership.

The mounts can delaminate - this is when the rubber become detached from the metal or the rubber can just sag which then allows the engine to drop down and rest on the steering rack.
It is very difficult to source decent new 1500 engine mounts. From bitter experience I have found that they do not last very long before they delaminate.
They are fairly simple to change.
Okay….

The part number is 149934?
I am wondering if a T2000 mount is interchangeable with it?

A Dolomite 1850 mount will fit but, being much softer, is unsuitable.

New mount under the gearbox is your problem...
Too stiff I suspect. The OE one was quite soft. Lots about for SD1's and TR8's that look the same, but arent.
