Petrol beneath front carb

Hello

Every few trips I reach the end of my journey and find a small amount of fresh fuel at the base of the jet assembly of the front (SU) carb of my 1850. Not enough to smell fuel in the cabin it seems. There appears no leak from the float chamber and no overflow from same.

I'm not sure where it's coming from - has anyone else experienced this?

thanks
Dave

I previously had a leak where the jet connects to the float chamber, both sides were loose.

Hi Mahesh
thanks for your reply - did you find a solution to that?

You may be able to stop the leak by just tightening the nut that holds the petrol pipe in the float chamber as this nut compresses a rubber washer /seal. If you have to replace the rubber washer / seal it is part number AUD2194.
