Triumph Dolomite 1980 - get it back on the road!

New member here!
This is my first venture into the older car ownership. I had been browsing for months and then I saw my Dolomite and it was decided!
Its a 1980 Dolomite, 1500 auto (according to howmanyleft.co.uk only 3 of them left on the road?). Other than rips in the seat and a couple small bits of surface rust it is pretty good to go.
More photos to follow if anyone wants to see!

Are you aware that fitting a 'full' cill involves either removing the front wings or cutting a bit off and welding it back again afterwards?
There are several suppliers of the visible repair section of the outer cill, but bear in mind the Club supplied one is thicker gauge and zintec coated when comparing prices. I do not know of another supplier of the full cill section but very occasionally a NOS one comes up on eBay.

I do realise that a full one would be more work. I have heard good things about the club ones so if I go that route then I will most likely get them from there!

Welcome to the forum.
This car is known to the Club and I saw it 3 years ago at NDD at Harewood House in Leeds.
I knew the owner was looking to sell and I'm glad you've taken it on. It is indeed the rarest variant of the Dolomite range so it has to be saved.
Please keep us posted and get those questions asked.

Hopefully I will be coming to some of these events in the not so distant future.
